What is New About the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica
The Pacifica name has adorned many a Chrysler, but the latest iteration is the best by far. Initially released for the 2017 model year, the current Pacifica is a grand minivan that is rife with options and amenities.
The latest model, the 2020 Pacifica, has seen the L, LX, and Touring Plus trims dropped from the gas-engine line and replaced with a base Touring model. Starting at just under $35,000, this latest Pacifica is aimed squarely at drivers who want more than budget bargains.
In addition to the base trim, there are several variations on the Touring model, including Touring L and Limited trims. A brand-new Red S Edition package comes replete with red leather seats and gray trim, along with a 20-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. This particular trim seems to have parents in mind, coming equipped with a programmable key for teen drivers and the Advanced SafetyTec Group.
All Pacifica models come with front-wheel drive and a 3.6-liter V-6 engine, along with a nine-speed automatic transmission on gas models and a continuously variable automatic on the plug-in hybrid variant in addition to its 32-mile electric-only range.
Inside the cabin, all trims feature seating for seven and the famed Stow n’ Go folding option for the second and third rows. Seating for eight is optional on gas-lines, while the intuitive Uconnect infotainment system is available across the board. All lines feature the wide and spacious interior that Pacifica is renowned for.
Chrysler continues to lead the way in minivans and this latest Pacifica is a testament to that commitment.
