Pictures of this model have been floating around for some time and it seems clear that while official details have not yet been sent to the market, it will be available for consumers sooner rather than later. What is a plug-in hybrid?

A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is a type of car that, as the name suggests, straddles the line between “electric car” and more traditional builds. This kind of vehicle tends to combine a battery and electric motor with a gas engine and operate in a few different modes. This typically includes, at a minimum, “all electric” mode and “hybrid” mode, although certain models offer additional modes designed to help conserve as much energy as possible while driving. This mode can be particularly useful for road trips with many miles to cover.
