It might require another person to assist with removing the doors and top, but taking apart your Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator can be done in just a few steps with directions we’ve provided below:

How To Take Doors Off Your Jeep

  • If your vehicle has windows, begin rolling them down to keep the glass protected.
  • Disconnect any power cables by the footwell or b-pillars.
  • Remove the door straps by gently lifting them off the hooks.
  • Remove the door hinge bolt and gently move the door off and store the doors and bolts somewhere safe.

We recommend lubing the door hinges for an easier job the next time you want to remove your Jeep doors.

How To Take the Top Off Your Jeep

  • Start by undoing the latches and levers from the front two panels and they should be able to lift right off.
  • You can stop here if you only want the front portion of the roof off or you can continue removing the remaining panels by disconnecting the wire harness.
  • Remove the bolts located near the rear glass using the provided toolkit. If you can’t locate your tool kit, feel free to contact our parts department.
  • Once the wiring harness has been disconnected and bolts are removed, get some assistance and you should be able to remove the rear top off your Jeep.
